xplor pro comes on the rally not the R. R comes with xplor -not pro. i run tractive extreme on an r1200gs and as 300mm rear shock on a 2021 ktm 690. i find that tractive makes high quality and high performance components. i have xplor pro on the 790 rally. xplor pro is outstanding. if you don't mind the expense, get the xplor pro with cone valves. On the 790 I run a Scotts with a TripleClampMoto submount and KTM dirt bike handlebars. Light, simple, effective. *shrug* IMHO the sheer mass of the 790 goes along way to absorbing hits before it makes it's way to the handlebars and I don't find the bike vibey at the handlebars so the isolation is just more than I need. The recall says that “the rear I've got a 2020 790 Adventure and somehow managed to get a good one (touching wood while I write this as it will probably blow up on the next ride now!). I had a few issues right off the bat (brake light not working when using the rear brake, flat battery so I couldn't even ride off the lot!) but since riding home with it the only issues I've I've bought 3 KTM bikes new, 1190 s, 1090r, and 890r. With 3-4k mile oil changes I've seen metal dusting every oil change on all bikes coming from the rear drain/screen. Motorex, maxima, and Castrol oil used, nothing in the screens. My 890 has the loudest engine by far, loud valves, and recently any load in 6th gear has a noticeable whining noise.
